a) Step one – Attach brackets:

This step involves attaching brackets to window or wall according to your preference.

Inside mounts:

First, attach the end brackets to the windows top corners via using the screws included. The brackets available are labeled ‘right’ and ‘left’. You need to install in a way that the bracket lock faces the room and swings upwards. In case, the valance comes with custom returns, you need to place the valance in conjunction with the end brackets on to the headrail. Now measure the distance from the bracket back to the valance return. This will help you determine how far you need to mount the bracket.

Outside mounts: You need to place the wood blinds centered over the window at the desired height. You need to mark the walls at the headrail end.

Now mount the end brackets on the wall and make sure that the brackets are at same level.

Step two – Complete the installation:

You require to install valance clips to the headtrail. Make sure the clips do not interfere with the headtrail cords or components

Now place the wood blinds in the window brackets.

Close the end brackets and lock.

It is time to install the valance. It needs to be installed on the headrail.
